Our junior membership programme is incredibly popular, offering local children the chance to learn how to play tennis. Although we can offer junior membership at a very affordable £20p.a., the cost of squad coaching by our professional is 3 or 4 times as much as this, per term. The club is no longer able to offer free, volunteer led junior practice sessions every Tuesday through the summer, and this has already been replaced this winter with a professional-led coaching programme.

Some of our keenest and most talented juniors are unfortunately not able to afford the coaching fees, and we would like to set up a SUPPORT FUND to enable these children to continue to benefit from professional coaching. The eligibility of juniors for this award will be carefully scrutinised in order that it is given to those most in need of it. 

A thriving junior section is so important for the future of MTC as well as grassroots tennis in the UK, and we hope you will feel able to support this initiative.
