County Championships
The Norfolk County Championships brings together players of all ages and abilities from across the County for a festival of tennis. The tournament, which includes Inclusive Tennis activities, is held at the East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club (to 2019 & 2024-present) and previously at Easton Tennis Centre (2021-23).
The Norfolk County Championships, first held in 1923, contested in the final week of August, is an LTA-affiliated Grade 3 event that is open to any player currently living in the county. Entries are open to children aged 8 and under through to adults, open and restricted events.
A number of players, who have earned junior and senior international honours, have competed in the Norfolk County Championships, including Dorothy Cunliffe Shepherd-Barron, Gordon Fitt, Sue Rich, Jane Ling, Amanda Brown, Judy Horn, Chris Bailey, Stuart Silvester, Tom Spinks, Richard Bloomfield, Pippa Horn and Olivia Nicholls.
