The tennis courts are now fully open for you to enjoy and play tennis.

Please follow the court rules and terms and conditions of the courts.

Please do not use the courts for playing football tennis. The nets will get damaged as the ball is too heavy.

Please report anyone playing football tennis by noting the day, time and court using to play and email the parks department.

People caught playing football tennis will have their membership cancelled. 

Please vacate the courts once your booking has finished to allow other players who have booked to play

New Tennis Memberships and Charges

Following the recent improvements to the courts, gates and court access the tennis courts are now open with the booking system operation in place.   

To keep all the courts well maintained, from 1 April there will be a low-cost hire fee at various times during the week and weekends (£3 per court per hour).  

An annual household yearly pass is available to Royal Greenwich residents for £30, covering all courts at Altash Gardens, Bostall Gardens, Kidbrooke Green Park, Maryon Park and Plumstead Common.  

Each week 30 per cent of park court time will be available free of charge. Any available free slots will be bookable online. 

Courts can be booked up to 14 days in advance for members and 7 days in advance for ‘pay and play’.

This level grassland with avenues of trees is the ideal place for anything from a picnic to playing games.

There are three tarmac macadam tennis courts that were fully refurbished in March 2024.

With the Green Chain Walk running through the site, Plumstead Common also has a bowling green and hard-surface tennis courts, and is home to Greenwich Rugby Football Club.
