To encourage wider enjoyment of the game of tennis, Riverside make courts available for booking by our Bedford community.

Courts

Courts 1–3 were resurfaced in October 2021 with Lano GrandClay 12 artificial clay. This softer surface produces a slower bounce, making it particularly well-suited to beginners and developing players. Unlike traditional clay courts, the artificial surface does not leave clay residue on shoes or clothing.

Courts 4–9 are tarmac courts. During the winter months, Courts 7–9 are covered by an air dome, allowing for year-round play.

Hours

Courts are available to book for a minimum of 1 hour between 09:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday, subject to availability (members may pre-book courts).

Limited evening and weekend slots may also be available by prior arrangement - please enquire for specific times.

Costs

£10.00 per hour, which includes the use of floodlights when required due to lighting conditions. Please ensure you only use the floodlights on the court you have booked. Payment must be made before the start of play. When the Air Dome is in use, the rate for those courts is £16.00 per hour.

Conditions

• Please respect our venue at all times. Radios, loud noise, and smoking on site are not permitted.
• A maximum of 4 players is allowed on each court.
• Juniors must be supervised by an adult.
• Please be mindful of others and avoid disturbing play on neighbouring courts.

Offer

If you subsequently decide to join as a member, we will refund up to three booking costs.

Air Dome Willful Damage

Any willful damage to the Air dome by any player will be fined at a minimum rate of £500 to cover the repair. Please make sure you treat the Air dome with due care at all times.
