Just turn up!

Our Club Sessions bring together members of the Club giving you the opportunity to meet new people in a fun & friendly environment.

Players of all levels of experience including new starters are welcome. We have a wide range of ages, a good mix of male and female players of all abilities and we adapt our play so that everyone settles in readily.

There are 3 informal tennis get togethers each week with mixed doubles play where everyone moves around during the session - so you get to play & chat with many different folks.
 
The 3 sessions run every week from April to September:

•  Thursday 6pm to 8pm on Courts 1 to 4 (the 4 courts near the pavilion & skateboard park)

              1st session = Thu 28th March 2024

•  Saturday 2pm to 4pm on Courts 5 & 6 (the ones near the café)

              1st session = Sat 30th March 2024

•  Sunday 10am to noon on Courts 3 & 4 (except when League Matches need the Courts)

              1st session = Sun 7th April 2024

A WhatsApp group is used for communication amongst players (weather, who’s coming etc.). If you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group, please email whatsapp@rowntreeparktennis.org.uk

If you are coming along for the first time, we can get a helper to meet up with you before play starts and then introduce you to the others. Just drop an email to help@rowntreeparktennis.org.uk
 
Some folks worry that the standard might be too high or that it will be too ‘serious’ – DON’T HESITATE! Many of us are recent joiners and we had those doubts too! Once you get out on the courts and play for the first time you will realise that everyone is happy to help you learn and enjoy playing the game - no matter what your level
