Accessing the Facilities

New Members pay a £5 key deposit, which provides access to all of the facilities at Rustlings. The deposit is refunded on returning the key.

The main entrance to Rustlings is on Collegiate Crescent and there is a separate pedestrian entrance on Victoria Road. There is a gentle downward slope from the main entrance, and then some easy steps up to the Clubhouse and onto the courts. Alternatively, players can access the courts by stepping through the Victoria Road entrance, and then either taking three steps directly to the courts, or walking along a raised path which has a sloping bank to the courts, to reach the Clubhouse and access the courts.

There are two steps down from the courts to the changing rooms which are located in a separate building to the Clubhouse. We are working towards being fully inclusive. While the facilities at Rustlings are not accessible for wheelchair users, it is possible to access the grounds by wheelchair and parking for one car is available by prior arrangement. If you are interested in playing wheelchair tennis, we can recommend the full accessible facilities at Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club which is located nearby, or Graves Tennis Centre. Disability assistance dogs are welcome at Rustlings.
