Congratulations to Sarah Armitage and her Ladies 1 team who won promotion from their Summer League campaign, after a convincing 4-0 final day win over Slough. Three of Sonning's ladies topped the player stats, with Linda the most valuable player in the league with 9 wins followed by Sarah (7/8) and Jill (6/6) - we'll all miss Jill as she's now moved over to Bracknell. Jennifer, Jane, Anjana and Angela were equally as valuable in winning matches when they played.

Meanwhile, Sonning's Mens 1 team came agonisingly close to promotion, with a last day winning draw at Bisham not quite enough for promotion. While Rob and Cameron won both their matches on the night, a championship tie break loss for Tim and Colin was the difference, which decided that Bisham would be promoted rather than Sonning. Rob proved to be Sonning's leading points winner with 8/10, but Cameron starred winning all 6 of his matches without dropping a set - great show Cam!

The Ladies and Mens 2nd teams had mixed results, with the Ladies finishing mid table with Jane leading the way 4 wins from 6 matches, so the ladies remain in division 7. But our Mens 2 side didn't fare so well, ending up in the bottom two and likely relegation.
