American Tournament 2022

We had a great American Tennis Tournament that took place on Sunday 11th September 2022 at 10 a.m.

A big thank you to all who took part in the tournament, there were some good games played and humour on court, all enjoyed the day.

We had a clear winner of the tournament by a large margin, Radka Weaver, who joked afterwards saying she needs a trophy cabinet to house her trophies.

We were then treated to delicious pizza, tea, coffee or liquid refreshments from bar.

Many thanks go to John McCredie for running the tournament, and to Sue Price and Pam McCredie for providing refreshments, a welcomed end to the event.

Coronation Monday - American Tournament 2023

We had a great American Tennis Tournament that took place on Monday 9th May 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

The weather looked bleak for the day so indoor games were planned, but the weather was holding up so decision was made for the tennis tournament to go ahead as originally planned.
A huge thank you to all who took part in the tournament, although some players did not arrive, probably due to weather forecast.
Refreshments afterwards upstairs in our function room decorated in theme appropriate for Coronation of King Charles III with bunting, balloons, and tableware. There was more than enough food fit for a king.

The winner of the American Tournament was myself, Paul Baldwin, but had all turned up I'm sure that would not have been the case.

Many thanks and appreciation go to John McCredie for running the tournament, and to Sue Price, Pam McCredie and her sister, Anne, who prepared the upstairs function room and laid out food, provided background music, and for ensuring the event went ahead with great success.
