Woodland is proud to announce that Les is the worthy recipient of this years LTA's Lifetime Achievement Award. His son, Philip, sums up Les' devotion to tennis saying, "A lifetime of giving to the sport he loves so much, is celebrated with this awesome “Lifetime Achievement Award” for my Dad’s service to tennis. The award was supposed to be in a ceremony back in April but due to Covid was done by Zoom instead very recently. Speaking for all your children, grandchildren former students, teammates and many opponents, thank you for all you have done across 60 years of great service to the sport in every single aspect. Your legacy and knowledge is being spread across the world from places as far away as New Zealand to the USA and many places in between from former students and family. Your love for the game is unsurpassed..!! Congratulations."
I'm sure that all members of Woodland would echo these sentiments. Well done Les, it is an award well earned and well deserved.
