Ashbourne Tennis Club

We are a friendly award winning club at the Gateway to the Peak District.  We were proud to have won Derbyshire Club of the Year in 2020.  Our club ethos is to offer tennis for all ages and abilities.  We welcome new members, from experienced players to beginners and rusty returners.  For those interested in match play we have teams which compete in the Derby League in the Summer and Winter (under normal conditions).  We have 4 Macadam outdoor courts, 3 of those being floodlit. 

We pride ourselves in the wide range of tennis opportunities we offer as a club; from coaching for all abilities and ages, to social events, fun competitions and leagues, as well as activities with the local community and schools.  Our successful open days and evenings are a great team effort and we are always open to new ideas and initiatives.

We are following all Government and LTA Guidance to ensure everyone can enjoy their tennis in a safe environment at Ashbourne Tennis Club.

We offer:

For Members:

• Free online court booking for singles and doubles play (NB: All players on court must be members.  If playing with a non-member then this player just pays £5 per hour for the booking)
• 1:1 and group coaching sessions for adults and juniors (in line with current LTA guidelines) (additional payment for these sessions). See Coaching tab for more information.
• Social tennis evenings every Tuesday from 6pm & Thursdays 1:30-3:30pm - doubles play
• Competitive team tennis in the Derby Area League - summer matches April to Sept 2025, winter matches Oct 25 to March 26
• Events and tournaments (within current LTA guidelines) - see  Events tab for whats coming up
• Entitlement to vote at AGM
