19 April FREE COACHING TASTER SESSION FOR PRIMARY PUPILS
A great opportunity to get a feel for the coaching programme and to see what the club has to offer! Book your free place today...
If you're unable to make these taster sessions please get in touch and we'll be happy to accommodate you on alternative dates.
21 April WORKDAY Sunday, 11am
After social tennis, stay on to help keep on top of the weeds, brush up the clubhouse, and tend to other grounds maintencance jobs. Let us know if you've spotted something that needs doing.
28 April JUNIORS (year 9, 10 or 11) Learn to become a tennis leader!
Sunday 28th April, 9.30am - 1.00pm (main module)
At Bamford Tennis Club
Run by a professional tennis coach, you:
- Gain a leadership qualification from SLQ Sports Leaders
- Begin a pathway for sports leadership allowing you to help at tennis coaching sessions, holiday camps etc
- Receive a LTA Youth T-shirt
- Acquire experience in leadership of young people

1 May THE 2024-25 SEASON BEGINS!
Our tennis year runs 1 May to 30 April every year. Look out for your invitation to renew in April, otherwise you won't be able to book courts and play.
May (tbc) TREE WORK
You'll see some of the larger trees on the Water Lane side of our boundary being reduced to help with the moss situation, particularly at the corner by the floodlit court. Some courts might be closed for a day or two during this work.
Mon 1 – Sun 14 July WIMBLEDON
15 July BAMFORD CARNIVAL OPEN DAY, Monday 6pm
As part of Bamford Carnival, Sun 14 – Sun 21 July, drop in to have a go at tennis, cardio tennis, pickleball… there's something for all ages and abilities!
Late July (tbc) RE-FENCING
Courts 1-3 are going to have the current fencing taken down and replaced. This work is estimated to take 2 weeks. All the courts are likely to be out of action at this time.
Fri 26 Jul – Sun 11 Aug OLYMPICS
19-21 August SUMMER CAMPS FOR JUNIORS
- 19-21 August, Primary school age, 9am-12noon
- 19 August, Secondary school age, 1-4pm
- £20 per day, or £50 for 3 day block

29 September CLUB TOURNAMENT FINALS DAY
The club tournament will run through the summer from May to September, culminating in a Finals’ Day of Sunday 29th September. Find out more here.
Ongoing REGULAR DROP-IN SOCIAL TENNIS
- Sundays 10am, for all members
- April to September, Mondays, 6-8pm, social tennis for all members
- April to September, Wednesdays, 6-8pm, social tennis for all members
