Congratulations to Tom Barton, Head Coach at Edgbaston Archery & Lawn Tennis Society, who recently rose to the top of the rankings in the ITF over-30s category for the Men's Doubles. He was officially ranked World Number 1 on 20th December 2021.
Tom's successful year took him to tournaments across the UK and Europe, winning the British Open Championships at Eastbourne in August (with Tom Wride), as well as the Welsh Open and London Open in September (with Jason Smart). He was runner-up in Valencia and was again the winner in Seville (with Tom Wride). He was seeded Number 1 at his first World Championships in Croatia.
Congratulations again on a fantastic achievement! Tom is pictured at the club winning the Men's Doubles tournament with Euan Forbes earlier this year.
