What does being on the committee actually mean? 
In essence, being on the committee means taking an active role in overseeing and running the club. It involves more than just attending monthly meetings. Each committee member is responsible for a specific role and is expected to actively participate in discussions and collaborate with other members to make decisions, facilitate tasks, and ensure projects move forward and get completed. It's a hands-on role that goes beyond simply showing up at meetings. 

Application process 
This years AGM will be on Sunday November 16th 2025. If you would like to be part of Glossop Tennis Club Committee, then please let the Chair (Paul Darwin) know beforehand so he can manage the flow of the AGM.

New applicants should ideally attend the meeting but if you can't make it still apply as its perfectly acceptable to apply without attending. If two applicants apply for the same role a vote will be taken by the attending members of the AGM.

If you would like to help out at the club in some capacity, but can't commit to being on the committee please get in touch. It is a volunteer run club so any help is more than welcome!
