The sun shone as we officially opened our new tennis courts at the Kirkstall Festival on 12th July. The Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Barry Anderson, and his wife, Caroline Anderson, joined us to cut the ribbon and begin our Big Tennis Weekend event.
Nici Pedley, KATC chairperson, and the Deputy Lord Mayor both spoke about the impact the new courts will have on the local commuity and the exciting new chapter for the club.
Our new coach, Sam Broom from True Grit Tennis, joined us to share details of the upcoming coaching programme and to give members of the public the chance to pick up a racket.
A big thank you goes to all who joined us for the openng ceremony, and to the committee who orchestrated the resurfacing project.
