Tennis coaching restarts September 2020

Tennis coaching groups are returning this SEPTEMBER 2020. The autumn term of tennis coaching is back following the updated guidelines from the LTA. Please have a look at the link below for full details


The club is very excited to get the junior coaching programme up and running again. All sessions have been uploaded to clubspark and emails will be going out in the next week or so confirming places. There are still spaces available on some courses so new members please take a look at what we have on offer


Please see below what coaching is on offer at the club starting again in September

Ladies only session Tuesdays 7-8pm

  • aimed at beginners who are new to tennis with a big impact on the social side of tennis. Coaching covers basic techniques and skills to help with rallying.

Tea and tennis Friday 2-3pm

  • aimed at beginners who are looking to learn the basic techniques and tactics of tennis

Rusty rackets Friday 3-4pm

  • Aimed at players who have played tennis before and are interested in some coaching to help with confidence getting back in to the game

Adult intermediate Friday 7-8pm

  • aimed at players who have some experience of playing and are looking to improve their game and move towards playing matches (great for social tennis players)

What will be new when I attend my coaching session:

  • 1 way system to enter and exit the club - please enter via bowls club side 
  • club house will only be opened for use of the toilet and to refill drinks and only 1 person may enter at a time 
  • all personal belongings must be taken on court and placed at the side of the courts following 2m social distancing 
  • Hand sanitizers will be provided at entrance and exit.  All juniors will be asked to use this on arriving and leaving each lesson. 
  • social distancing will be followed throughout the session 
  • please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for a lesson and please arrive promptly for pick up at the end of a lesson to prevent people hanging around
  • parents who wish to stay and watch the lesson must stay outside the club area on the grass by court 3 and should continue to maintain social distancing
  • all lesson payments must be made online via bank transfer or online payment via clubspark
  • if you are symptomatic or living in a household with someone else who has a possible or confirmed COVID-19 infection you should remain at home and not go out to play tennis
