Q: How do I book a court?
To book a court, simply use the ‘Richmond venues’ drop down bar, select a venue. Once on the selected site please select the 'Book a Court' tab, here you can see the availability and choose the date and time you would like to play. Use the drop down bar to adjust the time frame of your booking. You will be prompted to log-in in order to book. If you do not already have a ClubSpark account, you will be required to create one. Complete the booking requirements and when finished, you will receive an email booking confirmation. If the site has gated access you will receive a code within your confirmation. Please EITHER print the booking confirmation OR take a mobile phone that can display the booking confirmation or code (this is your proof of court booking).
Q: How much is a court booking without a membership?
Court bookings are £5.50 per half hour.
Q: How many days in advance can I book?
Each site has an induvial booking sheet that you can book up to 6 days in advance.
Q: How many bookings can I make a day?
All members are entitled to one booking per day. If you have booked a slot under the max of 1 hour a day e.g. '30 minute' slot, you will not be able to make another booking for that day. Please use the drop-down bar when adjusting the time frame in which you would like to play.
Q: Who does the family membership apply to?
Our family membership applies to your whole household (up to 5 people). This membership give you access to our 11 Tennis sites, all year round to play a maximum of 1 hour per day, at no cost.
Q: Who does the junior membership apply to?
Our junior member is available to individuals under 16 and will enable young people to access our 11 Tennis sites, all year round to play a maximum of 1 hour per day, at no cost (this includes juniors playing with an adult).
Q: How do I book a court for a junior member?
Parents/Guardians can make bookings on behalf of a junior using the junior’s membership. The parent/guardian needs to sign in to their own Clubspark account. Once signed in, they will need to click on their name in the top right corner of the screen and select the junior that they are booking on behalf of from the drop down list. Once the parent/guardian has selected the juniors profile they will be able to book a court with the junior account.
Q: How long do the memberships run for and how will I renew?
Memberships run for one year from the date you activate your online account. Members are sent an automatic renewal reminder 1 week before their expiry date. Please follow the link in this email to renew.
Q: How does the Direct Debit work?
We have partnered with GoCardless to make payments a simple process. You will need to enter your bank details during the sign-up process and the direct debit will be set up directly with your Bank. You will receive confirmation of payment directly from GoCardless as well as a ClubSpark confirmation.
Q: Will I be charged by Direct Debit if I do not renew my membership?
When your membership expires it will automatically be placed into a 'Lapsed' state until you renew your membership. If you have set up auto renewal when signing up for your membership, then payments will automatically be taken. if you did not select renew when signing up, you will need to renew yourself, no funds will be taken unless this is done. You will be sent an email a month in advance to cancel if you wish.
Q: What happens if I cancel my booking?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in which a refund will be automatic within 7 working days. When wet or frosty, the courts & lines become slippery and may be dangerous to play on. If the courts are unplayable because of rain or frost, you may request a refund past our 24-hour cancellation policy.
Q: Who can coach at the Play Tennis Richmond sites?
Please note that only Community Parks Tennis, Live Love Sport (TW Tennis), Jeremy Hooton Tennis Coaching, Best Tennis and K5 tennis coaching are the only borough approved tennis providers allowed to operate on our sites. Your membership will be suspended if coaching is found to be taking place without Council permission.
