Sandal Lawn Tennis Club is a welcoming members’ club offering great tennis, a strong social scene, and a genuine sense of community. With six floodlit courts, regular social sessions, competitive teams, and a relaxed clubhouse atmosphere, we’re a club where tennis is played seriously — but never taken too seriously.

🤝 Social Tennis – Come As You Are

Social tennis is the heartbeat of Sandal.

Our organised sessions make it easy to turn up, mix in, and play good tennis with great people — no partner needed.

Weekly social sessions include:

Wednesday evenings
Friday evenings
Sunday afternoons

All standards welcome. Expect friendly doubles, rotating partners, and a relaxed atmosphere both on and off the court.

🏆 Teams & Competitive Tennis

For members who enjoy competition, Sandal fields multiple teams across men’s, ladies’, mixed, juniors and veterans’ leagues. We have teams that compete across all of the competative spectrum, from the best to the rest.

Team tennis at Sandal is competitive but supportive — captains encourage development, and new players are always welcomed into squads. Many members start socially and move naturally into match play.

In addition we have a comprehensive internal club competition schedule, with ladder leagues, one day competitions, box leagues and annual club competitions.

🎓 Coaching & Development (Optional, not obligatory)

Professional coaching is available for juniors and adults who want to improve their game — but coaching supports the club, not the other way round.

Group sessions and private lessons for kids, juniors and adults are available for members and non-members alike, with clear pathways into club tennis for those who want them.
