Tennis Wales Awards
Congratulations to the Tennis Section for their outstanding achievements in the annual Tennis Wales Awards. The club is proud and delighted to announce we already have one winner: Mimi Xu (Player of the Year).
We are now eagerly awaiting the final announcements on 31st Jan for our other shortlisted categories:
- Young Person of the Year:James Williams
- Coach of the Year: David Williams
- Team of the Year: Ladies O65s (including Jenny Burrows and Ellinore Lightbody)
Fingers crossed for more wins!

Membership Payments From 1st January 2026, all membership payments must be made online through ClubSpark. This will ensure that all membership details are kept accurate and up to date.

Guest Fees
Reminder that any member playing with a guest should pay the guest fee at the time of booking.
Circuit training
Following a successful taster session in Dec, a full course starts Sat 10 am 4th January. Squash Court 1.
£6 per session, or grab all 4 Sundays for just £20

Padel.
Work continues to explore how “Padel” may be added to the Club’s racket sport facilities. Quotations have been received from two suppliers and are being followed up.
Meetings and discussions are on-going with Tennis Wales (who are also “Padel Wales”) the University and Swansea City Council. A round table meeting with them has been scheduled for 12 January
Wackers 21st Anniversary tournament
Rob Hopping won the main draw and Munir Awad the plate. All entered into the spirit of the event, with both kit and wooden rackets on show. .
