Congratulations!

Steve Calorusso made the podium with silver in the European Masters Individual championships in Poland last week.  A superb performance - He gave all the spectators, players and supporters, a superb display of  tenacity as a 5-8th seed making it to the final. The commentators rightly named Steve ‘Giant Killer’! As he out reached his opponents in every corner of the court.  

Ellinore Lightbody for her success in the Wimbledon Masters earlier this month. 

Jo Price and partner won the Shirley James annual Memorial event held in Dinas Powys as well as runner up in Wimbledon masters doubles. 

Club Tennis Championships Saturday 20th of September 

Matches continue in the spirit of competition and camaraderie. Finals Day will showcase some excellent matches and the match schedule will follow as the finals approach.

Tennis Finals: 12pm – 8pm 

6 pm. Tuckers BBQ:  Tickets (£10) for the BBQ and Evening Entertainment with Siany (The Wave) Guest DJ: 8pm  are available online. Book for BBQ 

Book online by 14th Sept to give us numbers for the BBQ.Collect your tickets on the day of the event.  

Tennis Team Awards & Raffle: 8pm - 

We’ll also be celebrating the fantastic achievements of our summer league tennis teams, with over 80 players representing the club last season! There’s plenty to celebrate, plus some special individual awards to be handed out. 

Forthcoming events 

Welsh National Closed Squash Championships are to be held in Swansea for the first time this December.  Date for your diary for some fabulous squash -as the current British Champions are the top Welsh Players, Joel Makin and Tesni Murphy.

Booking - All courts must be booked before use.  This gives an audit trail of court usage as well and informs those maintaining the courts - tennis and squash-  whether they can undertake their regular tasks. Those not booked in will be asked to vacate to allow maintenance. .
