Allendale Tennis Club

The club pitches itself at a friendly level catering for players of all ages (literally!) and capabilities, with weekly club nights and introductory sessions. The club is part of Allendale Sports Club and affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association. Allendale Sports Club includes a Football Club and Netball Club .

We have low level floodlights which help evening games reach their conclusion in the autumn months. 

Allendale Tennis Club has among the best courts in the Tyne Valley. We are grateful to our outstanding grounds team who keep everything in top condition. As well as Allendale we welcome members from  Alston, Haydon Bridge, Weardale and all the adjoining villages well beyond the confines of the Allen Valleys.

"Club night" is held on a Tuesday evening between 5:30pm-8pm on a "drop in".  If you are interested, please let us know at tennisatallendale@gmail.com when we will  try our best to ensure there is someone available.   Club night is an informal  gathering of members of all abilities, just turn up and play.   When a member, being part of the WhatsApp Group "Connect to Play" is useful and enables members to plan playing, either on club nights or any other time.   

Our subscription year starts on April 1st  please see the membership information below. We probably have the most competitive subscriptions anywhere locally and want to see as many members joining as possible. 

We are trying to get tennis coaching this year.

We look forward to welcoming members old and new for the 2025/2026 season starting on 1st April 2025. 

We have a safeguarding policy and information including our safeguarding officer, Fay Tinnion, on the website, in the clubhouse on a notice board and in an accessible folder.
