Corbridge Tennis Club
Tynedale Park, Station Road
Located on the grounds of Tynedale Rugby Club at Tynedale Park, Corbridge, we have three all-weather floodlit tennis courts in use all year round.
Social play is growing fast and we are welcoming new members all the time. Team players are also active with men's, ladies and vets teams all entered in the Northumberland & Durham leagues, junior coaching takes place on Saturdays with more planned for the warmer months.
This is a relaxed and friendly club that love to see new faces on court. Please contact us if you are interested in membership ( see membership page) or would like to come along for a taster!
In 2016 Corbridge Tennis Club were awarded "Club of The Year" by Northumberland LTA , as well as "The Tynedale Trophy" and "Club of the Year" by Sport Tynedale.
In 2020, the club planned to have a new clubhouse of its own for all its members, players and friends to meet and enjoy tennis in safe and convivial surroundings, planning permission was granted in January 2020.
The club committee have worked hard at raising funds for the clubhouse with grants secured from Sport England Community Asset funds, Northumberland County Council S106 fund as well a support from a Northumberland County councillor.
The Covid 19 pandemic, has severely curtailed all plans to have the cluhouse open for 2020 season, however the club committee are confident it will be open in Spring 2021

Corbridge Tennis Club was originally achieved with support from the Sport England Inspired Fund, Northumberland County Council, The Community Foundation, Corbridge Women's Institute, Corbridge Parish Council, SUEZ UK (formerly SITA UK), Northumberland LTA, as well as many individual supporters and sponsors and the co-operation of Tynedale Rugby Club.
Coronavirus Latest, Tennis in Britain
The committee are working closely with both the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England to help to fully assess the implications this latest advice has for tennis in Britain over the coming weeks. "All those involved in tennis in Britain, including tennis venues and coaches, are advised to follow Government advice, referring to the latest information and the guidance issued.
Courts re-open on 29th March 2021, following the latest LTA permitted guidelines.
