We have three ladies teams playing in the Fulford Ladies Invitation Tennis League ranging from the lower to higher divisions. Matches start mid-April and, as always, we welcome new faces who would like to be included.

We had mixed success in 2019 season with a lot of hard-fought games. Our 1st team were successful in securing another season in Division 3, whilst the 2nd team just missed out on that ‘one more win’ and dropped to Division 6. The 3rd team had an enjoyable season with most of the team being made up of people new to tennis or returning to tennis after many years. They will again be playing in Division 7.

The 2020 season did not happen, for obvious reasons! We are hoping the 2021 season will start at the end of June; dates are already on the League website.

The 2019 3rd team Player of the Year was awarded to Sharron Fletcher.

The Ladies captains work together to field three teams each week so that as many people as possible that wish to play team tennis are included. Its fun and fitness, not to mention the lovely lunches and cakes!
