Andy Malcolm - Treasurer
Andy Malcolm – Hon. Treasurer. Andy has been involved in Devon Tennis since moving to the county in 2003. He was chair of Willand Tennis Club for 7 years until 2016, and held other posts. He has been chairman of the Exeter and District Tennis League since 2010 and became league organiser of Culm and Exe Valleys in 2009. Andy has been the Devon Tennis Treasurer since 2012 and is Regional Representative on the Treasurers Working Group.

David Vinall - Chair
David has been a volunteer in Tennis for over 35 years. He has filled most committee roles a number of times at his club, Atlantic Racquet Centre, as well as being Mens’ Captain. This is his second term as Chairman of Devon Tennis, and he is also Chairman of the LTA South West Regional Forum made up of ten counties. He is a Tennis Referee, qualifying 32 years ago when he organised the first ratings tournament in Devon. This still takes place annually at ARC on the last week of May. His other passion is education. He is currently a Trustee of an Educational Cooperative Trust made up of 12 primary schools and he has been a Governor of three schools.

Deborah Freeman - Administration Manager (non-voting)
Deborah Freeman- County Administrator. Deborah joined the team in July 2018, and is the first point of contact for clubs and members of the public wanting to know about events and membership. She has been a referee in the County for a number of years and has a long association with tennis, both as a parent and club administrator.

Jemima Morris - Vice Chair
Jemima Morris- Vice Chair. Jemima was newly elected as Vice Chair at the start of 2022 and was previously Devon Tennis Competition Co-ordinator. Jemima has experience in a range of Sport Development Settings. She previously worked for London Sport as well as spending a number of years at the LTA, in both National and County roles. Jemima is a keen tennis player, having played for Middlesex as a junior and now has a coaching certificate and referee qualification.

Marian Vinall - Safeguarding Officer
Marian Vinall - County Safeguarding Officer Marian is a tennis coach and referee who was a primary school teacher with specific responsibility for safeguarding, and still acts as that focal point on the Board of Governors of her last school. Her aim in Devon Tennis is to support clubs and coaches to make participation as safe and enjoyable as possible through the application of LTA policies and best practise. Will McNally - Performance Manager (non-voting)
Will McNally -Performance Manager Will is a LTA Level 5 Master Performance Coach with a wealth of experience that spans more than 30 years. His career has brought him into contact with many top players. He was Performance Manager at Berkshire before joining Devon Tennis, and has worked also at Exeter Tennis Centre and in Sutton as Tennis Development Officer. His main role now is coordinating the Devon Junior Performance programme, which currently has over 120 players over the various squads, while keeping a weather eye for emerging talent.

Jake Freeman - Head of Competition
Jake Freeman joined us at the end of 2022 and is looking at the role of Head of Competition. He has played tennis from a young age and enjoyed entering competitions of all levels. He has a Level 2 coaching qualification and also qualified as a Line Umpire with the LTA. He has also recently become an LTA qualified Referee. His biggest reward was to be chosen from thousands of entries to be a Ball Kid at the ATP Tour Finals at the O2 when he was 16 years old - an experience he will never forget.

Stuart Borthwick - Head of Communication, Marketing & Sponsorship
Stuart is the Founding Partner of Devon Business, Dartmoor Financial LLP , Social Secretary at Tavistock Tennis Club, Parent of 2 County Playing Twins and a Huge Tennis Fan. Stuart has volunteered to support Devon Tennis with our Partnerships, Communications and Sponsors. Lydia Underwood - Equity Diversity & Inclusion Officer (EDI)
Lydia joined Devon Tennis in January 2024 in the new role of EDI Lead (Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity). A lifelong armchair tennis fan she was pulled into the tennis community by one of her two children, currently part of the county junior programme, which also led to her working in administration at a racquet centre where her interest in EDI and appreciation of the Devon Tennis family resulted in her volunteering.

James Temple - Head of Participation
James has just taken on a new role as Head of Participation having previously been the Coach Liaison Officer. This role will focus on increasing engagement with clubs, coaches and players in the county. He is currently the Head of Rackets at Exeter Golf and Country Club where he runs the tennis programme as Head Coach.
Helen Greenslade - Head of Teams
Helen joined Devon Tennis in January 2024 in the new role of Head of Teams and is a life long tennis fan. Helen can normally be found watching, playing or travelling to tennis tournaments.
Being a parent of a junior currently in county program this led to Helen volunteering Devon Tennis

Max Goodison - Special Projects Lead
Max Goodison has been involved with tennis since the age of 12 when he joined his first club – The Hallamshire in Sheffield – and since then he has been a member of clubs in Leeds, London, Kent and Devon, serving on the committees of 6 clubs over a period of 40 years and captaining a variety of men’s and mixed teams. He has played county vets tennis in Devon for the past 15 years.
His background is in financial services, technology, and business management, mainly in London, and he has lived in Devon since 2008.

Jane Wilson - Committee Secretary
Jane has been a coach at Plympton Tennis Club for over 20 years and has played for the club for longer. She is also a referee and is the organiser of the Junior Plymouth and District League. Her interest is in introducing juniors and adults into tennis and facilitating their play. She also has a passion for wildlife and is a volunteer with the National Trust at Plymbridge.JOB DESCRIPTION LINK
