Junior courses 2026

We run courses throughout the week for all ages and skill levels. To book a place, visit our Coaching page and filter by ‘Junior Groups’.

What course should my child join?

Our junior tennis lessons use coloured balls (red, orange, green and yellow) to match age, skill level and court size, helping children progress safely and confidently. The balls start slow and low-bouncing for beginners and gradually move to standard yellow balls for full-court, competitive play.

The ROGY progression

Red (Stage 1) – For young beginners (ages 5–8). Slow, soft balls on small courts, perfect for developing basic skills, hand-eye coordination, and confidence.

Orange (Stage 2) – For children around 8–10. Slightly faster balls on mid-sized courts, helping players start rallying and practicing serves.

Green (Stage 3) – For older beginners (ages 9–11). A step up to faster balls on full courts, bridging the gap to standard tennis.

Yellow (Stage 4) – For experienced juniors ready for full-court play, competitive rallies, and matches.

If you're unsure about which course your child should be placed in, contact Matthew Cattaway (07876221259).
