Whether you’re looking for friendly match play, structured competition, or a chance to level up your game, Elthorne has something for everyone. Our competitions programme provides a variety of opportunities to get on court, meet new players and challenge yourself throughout the year.
Competition is a core part of tennis, and many players take part regularly. Playing competitively helps improve your game far more quickly than practice alone, as the pressure of winning and losing sharpens focus and decision-making.
Competitions can take many forms: organised tournaments, club league matches, box leagues or even the all-important friendly games with your friends.
On the sub-pages, you’ll find information about Elthorne Box Leagues, Elthorne Teams and LTA-sanctioned tournaments.
You can also enjoy less formal weekly match play by joining our Club Afternoons (Wednesdays 12–2pm) and Club Night (Tuesdays 8–10pm, currently postponed during the winter months).
