The Management Committee
The management committee comprises a team of committed and experienced volunteers with one aim: to provide the best possible tennis playing experience for all of our members.
The management committee meet regularly (albeit via microsoft teams during lockdown) and make decisions together about the running of the club. We welcome input from all of members and would love to hear any ideas members may have about ways to improve the club experience.
Rodger Brasington: Club Secretary
A keen tennis player, Rodger has been a dedicated member of the Management Committee for over 12 years. He has sat as club Chairman as well as Club Secretary and Match Secretary. Rodger is responsible for managing the relationship and governance of the club, as well as liaisig with the LTA locally and nationally and organising the club block booking process.
Grant Watson: Head Tennis Coach
Grant has over 20 years coaching experience, working with wide range of players across a range of different venues. He was awarded Northumberland LTA Coach of the Year in 2021 in recognition of the development work he has and continues to carry out in the North Northumberland area.
Grant works closely with the Club Management Committee and the Coaching Team to build the club with a focus on increasing membership numbers and playing opportunities for all.
Carolyn Jackson: Welfare Officer
Carolyn has been Welfare Officer and a management committee member since April 2018. Carolyn brings a wealth of commercial and safeguarding knowledge to the team. More information about Carolyn's Welfare Officer role can be found here. Carolyn attends group coaching sessions and is regularly at the club house should you need to contact her.
Susan Bentley: Adult Co-ordinator & Social Secretary
Susan has played at Forest Hall Community Tennis Club from being a Junior and fully understands the Community ethos of the club. She is responsible for co-ordinating Adult tennis activities and is responsible for the compilation and arranging of Club Social Events which compliment our tennis activities.
Lee Anderson: Digital Secretary
Lee joined the club after his son introduced him to tennis and he is now a regular, enthusiastic player. Lee is experienced within the digital environment so he manages our website, social media and general email communication channels.
