Park Tennis Updates

30/04/2025: we have been made aware of people using the courts for reasons other than tennis, this is not permitted and can result in damage to the facility. Please only use the courts for tennis and if you see anyone misusing the courts report it to us and if they are damaging them report it to the police.

 

With the current hot weather warnings in effect, it's crucial to take extra precautions to stay safe on and off the court. High temperatures can lead to heat exhaustion, dehydration, and heatstroke, especially during intense physical activity.

Please follow these guidelines:

✅ Hydrate regularly – Drink water before, during, and after play. Don’t wait until you’re thirsty.
✅ Wear light, breathable clothing – Opt for moisture-wicking fabrics and light colours.
✅ Use sunscreen – Protect your skin with SPF 30+ and reapply frequently.
✅ Take frequent breaks – Rest in shaded or cool areas between sets.
✅ Know the signs of heat illness – Dizziness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, and confusion are red flags.
✅ Reschedule if needed – Your health comes first. Consider playing early in the morning or later in the evening.

Park Tennis General Info

  • Stay home if you or your household has covid or symptoms.
  • Guidance can change and restrictions may be reintroduced at any time.
  • During the summer take appropriate steps + care in the heat to stay safe
  • During the winter do not play on ice or snow and do not clear (freezing hazard)
  • On cloudy days the solar batteries can be effected until the sun comes back out.
  • Some of the recreation grounds close when the sun goes down, don't be caught out.
  • The LTA log in migration continues to take place, please follow the instructions to complete.

 

Park Tennis Playing Info

  • Dogs are not allowed on the courts at any time.
  • Players use any of the Park Tennis courts at their own risk.
  • Check the weather forecast before booking, by clicking here.
  • Our outdoor Park Tennis courts playability is subject to weather conditions.
  • if you see anyone damaging the facility or climbing the fences please call 101
  • All of the Park Tennis courts are non-floodlit, please ensure your booking is during daylight hours only.
  • The Play Tennis Pass and Pay & Play option are not permitted to be used for the delivery or receipt of coaching or non-tennis play activities.

 

 

Fridays

Posted 09/01/2025: Set Point Tennis Academy have been granted the use of 2 courts on Fridays, between the hours of 3pm and 4:30pm during term time. This is following a successful application by the coaching team to meet the demands of local players.

 

 

How to access the courts – Play Tennis Pass 

Step 1: Sign up for the Play Tennis Pass if you have not already done so 

Step 2: Log in to ClubSpark, to unlock the booking sheet 

Step 3: Select your venue and click "Book a Court" 

Step 4: Select a playing time and click to book 

Step 5: Complete your booking and make a note of your PIN

LTA Elmbridge Tennis League 

Local Tennis Leagues is a place for friendly tennis, where you can meet like-minded people and make new friends. The mixed singles leagues are for anyone aged 18+, no matter your tennis experience.  To take part, download the free LTA app, sign up & pay the LTA £21 entry round fee.

  • Current round: 3rd April - 28th May 2025, on the LTA app
  • Round 3 - 12th June - 6th August 2025 - sign up on the LTA app by 9th July
  • Round 4 - 21st August - 15th October 2025 - sign up on the LTA app by 18th August
  • Round 5 - 30th October - 24th December 2025 - sign up on the LTA app by 27th October
