How old do my children need to be to start having lessons?  

Latika is an all junior tennis club offering sessions for 4-18 year olds. 

How can I book my child into a session?

All bookings for coaching sessions are now made online via our Coaching page. You can book and pay up to 10 weeks at a time choosing the dates that your child can attend. 

What session is right for my child?

Sessions are typically referred to by the type of ball used within the session (red ball, orange ball, green ball, yellow ball) however the sessions are also age based.  Sessions will have an age group indication so pick the session that relates to your child's age. They are observed throughout every session so if a child would be more comfortable in a different session, we will always talk to you about this.

Red Ball = 8 and under

Orange Ball = 8-9 years

Green Ball =  9-10 years

Yellow Ball = 11+

Does my child need to bring their own racket?

We do recommend that children have their own racket however, during your trial period we will have equipment available to borrow.

What racket should I buy my child?

If your child is just starting out, there is no pressure to invest in an expensive racket. During their initial trial, they can use the equipment available and we can size your child appropriately and suggest the right racket for your them.

It is my child’s first session, what do I need to bring? 

We highly recommend your child brings a drink and wears sensible clothing depending on the weather and their own racket if they have one. As mentioned above, during the trial no racket is required.

Can I stay and watch my child?

You cannot come on to the courts during sessions, but our car park is directly next to the courts, enabling you to watch from your car. Alternatively, you can choose to stand outside the fences and watch. Please do ensure car engines are switched off whilst watching your child in their session for everyone's safety and wellbeing.

Do you offer trials?

Your child can have two weeks free trial before having to pay our annual membership fee. If you wish to book your child into a trial, please email info@latika.co.uk

After the two-week trial, children must pay membership in order to continue lessons with us. Lessons for members are bookable via our coaching page and must be booked in advance of the session.
