Sunday 24th April saw Leighton Buzzard Tennis club members take part in the Fay Morrilly charity tournament. This is a yearly event in memory of a previous member of the club.

Despite  moderate winds, players were blessed with a lovely sunny day. There were 3 teams of 6 taking part of all abilities and standards.

 Although there was a friendly atmosphere, the competition was fierce with everyone giving their all to try and win each round.

Members of the club donated cakes and biscuits which were eagerly consumed during the afternoon and they also donated raffle prizes.

The winning team is pictured. A total of £200 was raised. Half of which will go to Cancer Research UK and half to the Ukraine Appeal.

Members of the Tennis club committee would like to extend a big thank you to all the players and members of the club who were involved in what was a very enjoyable and fun event.
