Kevin Duffy

As our Head Coach and manager of our coaching team, Kevin has been playing tennis for 30 plus years and is a former National Player and No.1 ranked junior in Scotland. He has represented his country both nationally and internationally.

Kevin has in excess of 25 years coaching experience both in a full time and part time capacity. He became a full time Coach in 1999 when asked to join the coaching team at Next Generation, which included Judy Murray and Leon Smith. In 2001, he replaced Judy and became the Rackets Manager for a further 6 years.

From 2007 to 2016, Kevin coached at David Lloyd’s, Newhaven, successfully delivering adult classes as well as private individual and group lessons for both juniors and adults.

Kevin is Level 4 LTA Qualified and holds a Coach Accreditation Certificate. He also has current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and Safeguarding Certificates.
 

Grahame Forbes

Grahame is an experienced LTA Level 2 Accredited Tennis Coach with a passion for helping players of all ages improve and enjoy their tennis.  Continually looking to develop his own skills and knowledge, Grahame utilises online and practical resources to improve his coaching ability and knowledge of the game. Being coached and a coach, he understands and appreciates both sides of the coaching experience.

Grahame has been a member and coach at Dalkeith Tennis Club for over 25 years and has been their 1st Team player/captain in the East of Scotland and East Lothian Leagues for many years.

As a MTC club member and part of our coaching team, Grahame hopes to continue sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge of the game for the benefit of MTC members. 
 

Finn McLean

Although being  the youngest member of coaching team, Finn has been involved with tennis all his life and has a passion for helping his students learn, improve and enjoy the game.

Finn set up the junior team at Joppa Tennis Club which has now joined with MTC and Dalkeith Tennis Club to create combined junior squads and teams to faciliate more playing opportunities for all our juniors who want to be part of our teams competing in the East of Scotland Junior leagues.

Finn's coaching  sessions work on improving technical and tactical aspects while ensuring enjoyment for the sport is always there for any age or ability.
