The membership year traditionally runs from 1st April to March 31st the following year. If you are an existing member you should have received, or are about to receive, an email with a link to renew and pay online for the 2026/2027 season.

About the Club :
Newman Collard Tennis Club is a small, family friendly village club based in Liss. The club has access to three courts and a small clubroom for members. The courts are fenced off bits of concrete without people playing on them, so we really do want to encourage participation across all ages and standards. The club’s efforts have been recognised in the last few years with awards from both Hants and IoW LTA and EHDC including Hampshire Tennis Club of the Year again in 2025.
Club sessions and Social Tennis:
We run a number of club sessions during the week and throughout the year thanks to our floodlights
We have a drop in session on Wednesday evening for adults and older/stronger juniors, a similar session on Sunday morning and a family session on Friday from 5:30 for everyone. These sessions tend to be mixed ability doubles with players mixing in with whoever is there to make best use of the courts.
We also have sessions on Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon for adults. These sessions are more structured with pairs usually organised in advance.

Stay Connected:
The club has a WhatsApp group for adult members and parents of junior members. Its used by the club to help communicate and by members to self-organise and play at times convenient for them.

Competitions, Tournaments and Events:
The club has always had a number of competitions, one day tournaments and events for adults and juniors throughout the year.

Coaching Programmes and Camps:
We run a full term-time coaching programme for minis, juniors and adults with tennis camps during school holidays. Coaching is open to all. Our coach is Natasha Harris, an accredited Level three coach, and we aim to provide coaching for all ages and abilities. Coaching programmes are usually term time on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings with coaching running throughout the year - even on Tuesday evenings - thanks to our floodlights. Spaces are limited but we are not usually full to capacity and coaching sessions can be booked and paid for online.

Competitive Tennis and Teams:
The club is not a performance club but there are opportunities for competitive tennis. We have a club championship that culminates in a finals day in September and we have mens, ladies, mixed and veterans teams competing in winter and summer leagues. Not everyone wants to play competitively but If you'd like to make yourself available for matches we can put you in touch with the respective team captains who can help you join in.
Outreach Programs, I Play 30 and Volunteering:
The club runs a number of free outreach programs to support Liss and Greatham schools including the award winning I Play 30. This is an inclusive programme run from April to October that benefits children at Liss Infants School Special Education Needs (SEN) unit.
The sessions are organised and led by our Coach with the support of Club volunteers and school staff.
It's the Club volunteers and supporters who make the session a community project. Many members support the program by volunteering an hour or two over the course of the sessions or by purchasing a community lottery ticket through the club.

You don’t need to be a member to support or volunteer and if you are interested and have an hour once a week or once a month we would love your support.
Membership:
We would love it if you decided to become a member. But tennis clubs are like people and have personalities - please feel free to come and see if you like us first. Membership is not expensive and we have 1 and 2 adult family options with a monthly subscription
