Earlier this year we decided to replace the lighting on courts 2 and 3 with LED lights. The work was completed at the beginning of September. Although the brightness of the new LED bulbs is meant to be the same as our previous halogen bulbs, we have noticed that the new lights are significantly less bright than the old ones.
We are exploring what we can do to remedy this problem and will let you know once we have reviewed all our options.
In the meantime, if you are planning to play in the evening and using the floodlights, you may find that the old lights on Court 1 will give you better light than the new ones on Courts 2 and 3.
Previously, Court 1 has not been available for booking but we have removed this restriction until the lighting issue is resolved.
Apologies if this causes a problem. Courts 2 and 3 are light enough to play tennis but are not as bright as they should be.
We will try to resolve this as soon as possible.
