In 2014, we sadly lost one of our members Syd Taffs. Friendly and well liked, Syd was a familiar sight on the courts and a regular player at the social tennis evenings.
In his memory we have set up a members tournament designed to start the tennis season each year. Syd’s family has very kindly donated a Silver Platter as the prize, as well as a wooden bench that we have in place at the club pavilion.
Sadly, after 2 attempts to run this tournament, the weather has been unkind to us. This event will be back next year and we look forward to seeing everyone then.
