COACHING NEWSLETTER!
Yes finally the weather is starting to improve. It's been a tough winter with a fair amount of rain. I just want to thank all the parents and kids for being resilient and just getting on with it - a great can do attitude from all THANK YOU!
NEXT TERM
Our weekly groups are starting to fill up as they always do this time of year, so if your children are wanting to carrying on learning and playing (we hope so!) then please get them signed up via this link: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/THTennis/Coaching/Junior - remember you can filter by day to make it easier to find your course. Please email Toby via thtenniscoach@gmail.com if you're struggling to find a suitable course.
Course dates are:
Term 5 - Monday 15th April to Saturday 25th May
Term 6 - Monday 3rd June to Saturday 20th July
Pleease note that non-member/guest fees at Almondsbury (not Tockington) will be rising next term so you may want to make your child a member of our clubs in order to save money on coaching - in almost every case it will be cheaper to make them a member and you also then get the benefits of being able to book courts and use the courts 24/7 too. I will be sending an email to all current coaching participants at ABSTC. Please check the same link above (JUNIOR COACHING) for more information on this.

If you're currently sgned up to term time tennis then please bring your siblings, aunties, grandpas, etc. to enjoy a fun oncourt party for all ages from 3 years up with our coaches. Expect fun games, an easter egg hunt and prizes on the day.

JUNIOR LEAGUE UPDATE
We've had yest another successful season with our junior teams in the LTA Youth Avon winter league. A big thank you to ABSTC for hosting our teams and matches, parents for the ongoing suport on match-days and of course to our players who do such a great job competing hard for our club. We are one of the smallest clubs in Avon but continue to compete at the very top of the tree beating rivals with bigger facilities than us, we're really proud of that!
We're currently SECOND in 8U red ball division 1 behind a very strong NSTA team who have already won the league. Well done to them and well done to our young team as for many of them it's been their first season.
We've already WON 9U orange ball division 1 with two matches still to play - an outstanding performance from Samuel, Teddy, Dashie and Olivia.
Our 10U green ball teams are UNBELIEVABLE - our C team are TOP of division 2B, our B team are TOP of division 1B and our A team are SECOND in division 1A.
Our 12U boys team are SECOND in division 2 but with three games in hand so definitely a chnace to become top.
If we need a new word for dominance in the dictionary then 'The Almonds' could be it!
