ClubSpark at Bangor Tennis Club is up and running!

Bangor Tennis Club is now thrilled to be using ClubSpark - an award winning, software package specifically designed for sports clubs.  The committee are still learning how to use it, but there is already no doubt it will save hours of administrative time and help move the club forward.

So what will it do? Well, ClubSpark will streamline the club's contact, membership, event and financial management systems.  The software can also  take court bookings and it will make it much simpler to organise and book coaching.

The new website is just one part of the package and this has been taking shape over the last week or so.  It is  now  fully 'live' (given that we are unable to plan many of our usual activities) with fourteen separate pages crammed full of useful information about the Club.  After a few teething problems, the Book a Court page now seems to be working well. We are conscious that it might seem strange having to book courts, but we think the sytem will  help make the club more secure and (in the  not-too-distant future)  it should work seamlessly with an electronic 'number-lock' gate - instead of the current (rather primitive) padlock!  Still, the booking system and padlock are helping us to keep the club Covid secure and as we all get familiar with how it works, it should make life easier for everyone. Don't forget, the padlock code will change from time-to-time.  You can find the code at the bottom of  your booking confirmation - you have to scroll down to find it though!

There are still a few website-jobs left to do (like re-directing traffic from the old  website to the new one and then mothballing the old one)  and it will be a while before Search Engines  pick up on the changes, but we hope you like the new  look. If you spot any errors or can suggest easy improvements please let  Sue or Nigel Beesley know.

There is also a mobile App called Booker that works with ClubSpark and the online booking system. It is available for both Apple and Android devices and you might care to give it a try. It doesn't get a 5* rating though, so let us know your experiences - we really do welcome all feedback.
