Following the First Minister's announcement earlier today and guidance from Tennis Wales, Bangor Tennis Club will be re-opening for tennis, but not until 9am on Tuesday 16th March. The committee have decided to delay opening by a few days as the immediate weather forecast is far from ideal for tennis and they want to be 100% sure that the club is fully compliant with all Covid requirements, before opening up again. The bookings page will be in operation shortly and both members and non-members will be welcome to play in accordance with the guidelines. The basic rules are:
You can play singles and doubles tennis with one other household (maximum four adults present), doubles pairs should be from the same household. Children aged under 11 and carers do not count towards the limit.
- One to one coaching can resume – with only people from the coaches household and one other household present.
- All tennis activity must follow the Welsh Government requirement to stay local.
- Please maintain social distancing at all times and follow good practice around hygiene and hand sanitisation.
- Clubhouses must stay closed other than for essential reasons – access to courts and floodlights, using the toilet or accessing First Aid or medical supplies.
