We have some amazing news - our tennis club have come away with FOUR awards from the Avon LTA annual tennis awards!

Firstly, congratulations to our very own Maggie, who has won two awards - a lifetime achievement award and 'official of the year'.

We are delighted that Maggie's long service to the tennis club (over 25 years) and also her dedication to running tennis events in the region has been rewarded.

The local representative from the LTA said "The LTA-backed award is a testament to the exceptional contribution Maggie has made to her club and to the County over many years. Maggie is also a qualified LTA Referee and, for many years, has run the County flagship tournaments and provided opportunities for youngsters to play competitively by organising regular competitions at her own club.  Outside of tennis, Maggie also represents her local community as a District and Town Councillor.."

Secondly, congratulations to our wonderful coach Toby, who has won Performance Coach of the Year.

Toby has done wonders with the junior players who are going from strength to strength, so this is also very well deserved. Here's some of the recent junior success that we are celebrating:

And finally, congratulations to all of you, our players and members! Almondsbury and Bradley Stoke Tennis Club has been awarded Avon LTA Club of the Year.

This is recognition of our club members who get involved in all sorts of ways, whether attending events, helping out on tidy up days, or just being so warm and welcoming to new players.  We believe that Almondsbury and Bradley Stoke Tennis Club is THE best place to play tennis!

These winners will now go forward with other county winners to a regional judging panel for the south and south-west with the regional winners announced in April. The national ceremony will be held in London in July.
