We hope you really enjoy your time at the tennis club, but to keep the club a happy place for everyone to play, please do take time to find out how the club is run, how you can be involved and what policies and rules we have.
Almondsbury & Bradley Stoke Tennis Club is a registered charity no. 1180208. You can find out more about this, including published accounts, names of trustees etc. on the Charity Commission website at Accounts and annual returns, ALMONDSBURY TENNIS CLUB - 1180208, Register of Charities - The Charity Commission Trustees meet at least quarterly to make sure the club is run in accordance with the objects of the charity and it’s policies and to ensure the finances are under control. All club members are invited to the AGM every year. A link to the constitution is below.
We also have a Tennis Committee where some trustees are joined by volunteer members to deal with all the day to day issues and run the club activities within the budgets set by Trustees. All members are invited to the AGM each year, when you’ll hear the Chair's annual report, see the accounts, and have a chance to ask questions or be elected as a trustee or committee member.
Of course if you want to know anything at any time of the year you can ask any trustee, committee member or just drop an email to information@almondsburytennis.org.uk . We’re always looking for people willing to help run the club, so if you’re interested, just get in touch.
We have a licence to occupy our courts and clubroom from another charity, Almondsbury Sports and Community Centre, number 1192928 and we elect a tennis club member to sit on that trust. The other sports clubs and the bar, Almondsbury Creative, all rent space off that trust as well.
Coaching is run as a separate business, TH Tennis, under contract to the club, by the Head Coach Toby Huddlestone. He pays rent to us for use of the courts and organises the coaching team. We have a great open relationship with Toby, all working together to promote the club and coaching services together.
