On Sunday 29th May, the club organised a surprised celebration event for Jane Pledger who has reached 50 club championship titles!
Jane started playing at Beverley Park Lawn Tennis Club in 1987 at the age of 13 when the club had rules around playing in whites and court etiquette!
The event included a social tournament with 16 participants on court and there was a presentation ceremony with LTA Northumberland Chairman, Chris Lott, presenting the award to Jane.
Former chairman Jon Pope also attended the event and spoke about Jane's fantastic achievement. The event was concluded with cake and refreshments.

Jane said:
Thank you for my 50 wins celebrations today, I was totally surprised and I am absolutely overcome with everyone's kindness in organising this for me!
Jane is an asset to the club. Her loyalty to Beverley Park LTC has undoubtedly been a huge advantage to our club as never once has she been tempted to move away from the club regardless of the offers she received.
A massive thank you to all the Beverley Ladies and committee who helped organise the event.
Well done once again Jane, and who knows we might be celebrating 100 club championships one day!
