On the longest day of the year, we're undertaking our biggest ever challenge, playing tennis for 24 hours without a break- all to help raise funds which will go towards resurfacing the club courts and replacing the court fence.
From midday on Saturday 21st June until midday Sunday 22nd June, members of the club will complete a Midsummer 'Tennisathon' by playing tennis around the clock, so that at every moment through an entire 24 hours, someone will be on court playing tennis at the club.
The challenge culminates in an all-comers Grand Finale from 11am till midday on Sunday, where everyone is welcome to come and play a fun tournament. This will be followed by an afternoon celebration party, with cakes, hot & cold drinks, music and more tennis for those who have the energy.
We're setting up a web page for donations - more details to follow here on our website - and also watch out for updates on the community Facebook pages.
Plus we're hoping for donations on the day during the event and at the after party.
Baseline Retail will also be on site on Sunday morning with their pop-up shop of sportswear, offering a range of tennis racquets, clothing and shoes to try before you buy.
Bring your friends and families for a fun day on Sunday 22 June, and come to support our tennis players at any point during our 24 hour challenge!
