Loveday Hickey

Those members who were unable to be present at the recent AGM may not know that Loveday had announced that she was not putting herself forward for re-election to the committee for the coming year.

Loveday joined the club in 2003 and two years later was persuaded to join the committee. She soon became Chairman and was at the helm for ten years.

During that time the club made some big advancements, which included the “Stronger Mind and Body” scheme that provided the new Astroturf court as well as a big uplift in the membership. Also, in her time, electricity was installed, the club gained the new entrance and driveway and the additional land was purchased.

To recognise her long and lively contribution to the club the committee delivered a bouquet of flowers and Loveday has asked me to thank everyone for the gesture that is much appreciated.
