Safeguarding-safe to play tennis

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is about keeping children and adults safe from harm and specifically that all children, young people and adults at risk are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis experience.

Safeguarding at Busby

Busby Lawn Tennis Club acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk.  The club is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and LTA requirements.  A copy of the club’s full safeguarding policy can be found here: BLTC Safeguarding policy 2024

The full policy is a lengthy document so there is a summary statement available which tells you what you need to know.  The full policy can be referred to if more detail is needed: Safeguarding policy statement 2024

The Codes of Conduct are available here: Codes of Conduct for volunteers, members, children, parents and carers

We review our policies on a regular basis so the latest version of each document is available here.
