The North East Club Winter League is a friendly tennis league for clubs from Northumberland, Durham and Cleveland that is played through the winter from October to March.
Matches are played on Sunday mornings and teams consist of 2 men and 2 women playing both straight and mixed doubles.
The league is split into two sections - firstly, a tiered/grouped league competition, followed by a tiered knockout competition.
Collingwood returned to this league in the 2024-25 season, and having won their knockout competition last year.
It was a tough season, and the team battled formidably against both bad weather and great opponents.
Collingwood finished 2nd in the league table, behind the unbeaten Gosforth 2 team.
We are delighted to say that Collingwood once again made it to the final of the knockout competition this year, however, eventually being beaton by a strong Durham Moor side.
Thank you to all the team players for their wonderful dedication, and fantastic tennis!
