Elthorne Update - February 2026

Elthorne Park Update – 18th February 2026

Elthorne Park Junior Holiday Camps

You’re halfway through half term so I’m sure you’ve heard, ‘Mum, Dad, I’m bored!’ one too many times – well, not anymore! We’ve got just the thing to help keep children active and entertained during the school holidays. Our Holiday Sports Camps offer fun, friendly days filled with tennis, football, group games and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

Children aged 8–14 can enjoy a range of sports and activities, with full-day and half-day options, as well as breakfast and after-camp care, designed to fit easily around family schedules. We also offer mini camps for ages 5–7, which provide shorter, two-hour sessions in a friendly, supportive environment.

Running throughout the Easter, May half-term and summer holidays, they’re a great way for children to stay active and have fun while school is out.

As you’re part of the Elthorne community, we’re pleased to offer a limited 10% early booking discount for the next 15 places. Use code ELTHOL26 at checkout. For families ready to secure their place this week, I also have a small number of enhanced discount codes available. If you’d like to receive one, simply reply to this email and I’ll send details over.

Toilet updates

As many of you will know, the building of a permanent café by the tennis courts has been a long time coming. Although planning permission was secured in August 2022, there are currently no signs of the council beginning construction any time soon (luckily, Aces Cafe is on hand for all your flat white needs!).

In the meantime, I plan to complete the groundwork for a toilet facility this year, which I will be funding myself. This will allow us to install a temporary unit providing a fully operational toilet for use when the pop-up café is open. The groundwork will include the installation of a septic tank designed to manage the level of usage expected for a park of this size. I’ll share further updates as progress is made…

In the meantime, I’m pleased to say we have been in discussion with both the School and St Thomas’ Church about using their toilet facilities at certain times. We have reached an agreement with the team at St Thomas’ Church, who have kindly offered the use of the church hall toilets during tournaments and our holiday sports camps. This is fantastic news and a real reflection of the supportive community we’re lucky to have here in Elthorne.

Club social: Winter Finale Tournament

After the success of the Snowball Slam back in December, we’re excited to be hosting another club tournament to close off the winter season.

Join us for our Winter Finale on Saturday 28 February at 1pm. Players can sign up individually and will be paired up to play a series of friendly matches throughout the afternoon. We’ll round off the day with some treats and prize giving.

There are only 20 spaces available – book early to avoid missing out!
