AGM Safeguarding Report 2026

In this past year I have visited Competitions at Cromer, Hunstanton and the Parks with Anita Stewart the Active Norfolk Sports welfare Officer. Anita also came to the last Forum at EAS&TC in December 2025 where a safeguarding briefing was given. I supported the awards / volunteers Event held at Cromer in 2025 and attended the online LTA Safeguarding conference held in October 2025. This is still available to access via the LTA Safeguarding sites.

To compliment the LTA safeguarding training, Active Norfolk also provide sessions which can be accessed online. These are advertised on the Norfolk Tennis newsletter and website. The LTA also provides Safeguarding newsletter updates. If you are not receiving any of these newsletters and would like to access them, or the Norfolk Welfare officer Whats App group, please contact me or Stuart: admin@norfolktennis.org

If your club has any young people aged 14-24 who would be interested in becoming a Young Person Welfare Ambassador, contact me or look on the LTA website for information.

We welcome the Padel Tennis venues to Norfolk and safeguarding and wish them all well for the future.

The LTA will be reviewing the safeguarding policy in February 2026 and Melissa Miller the RSO will be visiting venues in Norfolk in March 2026. There will be an online welfare officer Forum on 25/4/2026 hosted by the LTA.
