Norfolk's O35 men's team were relegated from group two, halting a four-year streak of promotions.
An opening day win over Hertfordshire was not enough to secure their status, as losses to Kent and Oxfordshire left the side fourth in a tight division.
Injury to Nick Crawley on the first day was a huge loss, but the remaining squad of Dan Wynne (C), Jonny Wynne, Richard Keeble, Chris Stocker and Josh Weeds came within a tiebreak of survival.
They will compete in division three next year with the potential for an East Anglian derby down in Eastbourne.
