Cromer Receives LTA Regional Award... Now For Nationals!

Susie Malakar, Shelagh McKenzie, Matthew Jordan and Peter Cooper from Cromer Lawn Tennis & Squash Club all travelled to Nottingham on Tuesday during the Rothesay Open.

The Cromer quartet were on hand to receive the LTA Central & East region award for Competition of the Year from LTA President Sandi Proctor. More than 20 awards were presented to regional winners from across the country at the WTA 250 and ATP Challenger Tour events that are held at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre.

Cromer are in contention to win the national LTA Competition of the Year Award alongside Avon Tennis Leagues (Avon) and Kiss my Ace GLA Tournament, Lancashire (North). The overall winner will be announced on 2 July at the National Tennis Centre in London.

Heather Bottomley, LTA Councillor for Norfolk, and the Acting Chair of Norfolk Tennis, James Buddell, were also present in Nottingham on Tuesday.
