What a night!
So good to see some of the most recogniseable faces from across Norfolk Tennis.
County players and Norfolk Tennis award winners came together to share an evening of chat and a glass of something merry at East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club.
It was fascinating to hear tales from the Hillary Kerrison era, involving early morning meanderings and toadstalls at the Eastbourne Grand hotel! I am not entirely sure what happened but apparently it was 3am at the time and very, very funny!
To find out about the 'Lincoln Lob', a shot known and feared by all. The stuff of legends although when asked to describe it's effiectiveness, Robin Lincoln (most capped Norfolk Men's County player) simply replied 'well it was just a really good shot'!
Apparently the county did once hold a summer ball open to all - something we would love to do again in the near future.
Thanks to all who came along and don't worry if you could'nt make it. We will be planning another get together very soon.
If you would like to be kept up to date with the Norfolk Tennis alumni or have any ideas regarding developing the alumni please do get in touch.
