Norfolk Tennis asked Jane for a summary of the event:

"I was honoured to be asked to captain the Ladies  England 75 team in the above event, hosted by Tennis Wales in Newport.

Our first match was v Scotland, where, despite very strong opposition, we managed a 5-1 win overall. Then we faced Ireland on the second day, recording a 6-0 win.

We had to beat the host nation on the final day - all 3 of the 75’s matches were decided on 3rd set championship tiebreaks, England winning 2-1. The 70’s also achieved a 2-1 win, ensuring the England team retained the overall cup.

It was a most enjoyable event, played in a competitive but sporting spirit!"
