πΎπΎπΎπΎπΎ Ball machine is now available for members to check out and use. If you are interested and need a demo contact Graham or Steve Lo. It was purchased with funding from Sport England and Okehampton United Charities, to help us get more people playing more tennis. If you have ideas on how we could use it to reach more people, members and general public please let Penny know.
βοΈ π¨ βοΈ Jan / Feb indoor tennis. Sumiyo is organising some ½ days sessions at the Manor: a morning playing followed by buffet lunch. Please let us know if you are interested.
βΌοΈ When renewing your club membership remember to also renew OCRA membership. Need to do so each year. OCRA membership is free for us but is required to get court bookings at no cost.
£££££ ONLINE PAYMENTS TO CLUB (for membership/ events/etc) are absolutly fine, but you can save club money by using bank transfers which don’t have a transaction fee……
π Tennis Coaching – Lisa’s two Sat morning sessions for juniors are now full. She’ll start a 3rd session in the spring. We’re planning to host a small juniors tournament against other clubs in April.
Thursday night club coaching continues, and is great fun. £10 a session. WhatsApp or text Lisa if you’d like to join us.

π Accident report forms are in the club room, on the wall, or download here – please complete one, even for small accidents and injuries, and leave in the folder in the club room or share with the secretary by email.

π π Autumn leaves Lots of leaves, twigs, etc that need clearing from the courts at this time of year. If you have spare time, please help clear them. We have a broom, dustpan, leaf blower, and collecting bags in the club store. Every little bit helps. Dump them by the mill leat/stream, or take home for compost!
Our teams We’ll have Ladies, Men’s and mixed teams playing summer league next year. If you are interested in practicing for the teams over winter contact the captains Hayley, Liz, Graham, Matt, Dave.
π€ Growing the club. We’ve got more people playing tennis in Okehampton this year and started to grow the club πͺ΄but there’s a lot to do. If you have ideas, or time to help with publicity, extra sessions for beginners, performance training, or other activities please let us know.
